Get an in-depth understanding of how builders construct homes, and how to conduct inspections and address necessary actions before drywall installation.
We’ll discuss the distinctions between new construction inspections and inspections for homes undergoing remodeling or repair. We’ll also cover the industry standards followed by builders, effective communication strategies with builders, and the practical application of this knowledge during property Inspections.
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Identify differences between new construction pre-drywall inspections and inspections for homes undergoing renovations or repairs.
- Discuss different marketing strategies used for new construction inspections.
- Define building tolerances and why they are important.
- Identify common defects found in new construction while inspecting at the House of Horrors®.
- Learn the process for a new construction pre-drywall inspection.
- Discuss key findings in typical pre-drywall inspections and learn ways to effectively communicate these findings to your client and the builder.
